Need to Reschedule a Lesson?
This section is intentionally about rescheduling, not canceling.
Whenever possible, rescheduling a lesson is in the best interest of the student, the studio, and the learning process as a whole. Cancellations break continuity and slow progress far more than most people realize.
Why Cancellations Matter
Skipping a week of lessons does more than pause progress—it disrupts learning momentum. Skills on a string instrument build cumulatively, and breaks in instruction often result in setbacks that take more than a week to recover from.
When deciding between canceling or rescheduling, rescheduling should always be the first choice whenever feasible.
How Rescheduling and Cancellations Work
-
48+ hours before the lesson:
Lessons may be canceled or rescheduled.
If canceled outright, reimbursement is available. -
Less than 48 hours before the lesson:
Lessons may still be canceled or rescheduled, but reimbursement does not apply.
To cancel or reschedule with reimbursement eligibility, I must be contacted no fewer than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
A Note on Emergencies
I understand that illness and family emergencies happen. These situations are handled with care and discretion. Clear communication is always appreciated.
Reimbursement Details
-
Reimbursements appear as a credit on the following month’s invoice.
-
If a rescheduled lesson is not completed within 30 days, reimbursement will not carry forward.
If you have questions or need to communicate a scheduling issue, please reach out directly.
